Cookies

Our full cookie policy can be found further down on the website.

Our website uses cookies – small text files stored by your browser on your device. Cookies help us make our services more user-friendly, effective, and secure.

Some cookies are “session cookies” and are deleted automatically after your browser session ends. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them manually. These cookies help us recognize you when you return to our website.

Modern web browsers allow you to monitor, restrict, or block cookies. Many browsers can be configured to delete cookies automatically when closed. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

The storage of cookies necessary for electronic communication processes or specific functions you request (e.g., shopping cart) is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As the website operator, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimized provision of our services. Any other cookies (e.g., for analytics) are addressed separately in this privacy policy.

Google Analytics

Our website uses the Google Analytics web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies” – small text files stored on your device that enable analysis of website usage. The information generated about your use of our website is transmitted to and stored on a Google server, typically located in the USA.

The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We, as the website operator, have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize our web offering and advertising.

IP Anonymization

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization, ensuring that Google shortens your IP address within EU or EEA member states before transmission to the USA. In rare cases, the full IP address may be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the storage of cookies via your browser settings, but this may limit some website functionality. You can also prevent the collection and processing of your website usage data (including your IP address) by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Opt-out of Data Collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking the following link, which sets an opt-out cookie preventing data collection on future visits: Disable Google Analytics.

Further details on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Data Processing Agreement

We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google to fully comply with legal data protection requirements.

Demographic Features in Google Analytics

Our website uses the “demographic features” function in Google Analytics, which allows reports containing information about age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. It is not possible to assign this data to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time via your Google account ad settings or by prohibiting Google Analytics from collecting your data, as explained in “Opt-out of Data Collection.”

This allows Sofort to log into your online banking, check your account balance, carry out the transfer, and confirm the transaction. It also automatically checks your account’s transaction history, credit limit, and existence of other accounts.

In addition to your PIN and TAN, Sofort receives payment details and personal data, including full name, address, phone number(s), email address, IP address, and other necessary details. This transmission is required to verify your identity and prevent fraud.

The transmission of your data to Sofort GmbH is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract processing). You can revoke your consent at any time; past processing remains unaffected.

Google AdWords and Conversion Tracking

Our website uses Google AdWords, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

As part of the online advertising program, we use conversion tracking. After clicking on a Google ad, a conversion-tracking cookie is placed on your device. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. They allow Google and us to see that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to our site.

Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie, which cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. Conversion statistics tell us how many users clicked our ad and reached a page with a conversion-tracking tag. We do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out by disabling the conversion cookie in your browser settings.

The storage of conversion cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to improve our web offering and advertising.

For details about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict, or prevent cookies from being set. Disabling cookies may result in limited functionality on our website.
